In 2009, and only 2009, Volkswagen gave the Jetta sportwagen the 2.0t engine and paired that up with either a DSG or 6 speed manual. All other years received the tiptronic or 5 speed manual attached to a 2.5 liter or the TDI engine.
I believe there were some suspension upgrades for this model as well.
Which makes the price too bad.

Doesn’t surprise me. We bought our Passat Wagon in ‘08, and at the time the refreshed Jetta Sportwagen was not yet available in the US. Something about a fire at the plant that made the engines. The 2.0 TSI is the motor in our Passat and it’s really nice to drive on the 6-speed MT. It must fly in the smaller Jetta.
